I first met Amanda when she contacted me, through Inspiration through Art, to photograph her amazing daughter Avery, who was born with a heart defect. As a result, she went through a very serious open heart surgery, at a very young age, as most CHD children do. This disease is not curable and presents many challenges, mentally, spiritually and financially to the entire family. As participating photographers with ITA, we are committed to offering complimentary portrait sessions to families like Amanda’s, who are faced with these tough situations. We help tell the stories of these amazing children. We offer the portrait sessions, beautiful imagery and a great experience. We want these captured memories of their child to be treasured forever. Avery is a beautiful, happy and outgoing little girl who is simply the absolute joy of both her mother and father’s lives! You can see the images from that session here.
I was so excited when Amanda contacted me about coming into the studio for a beauty session because, as you can imagine, she is due for a little pampering and fun! Amanda is a beautiful, sweet and considerate woman who is surrounded by amazing friends and family. She deserves a little time to be catered to. We had a wonderful time just talking “girl talk” and she was able to relax and enjoy herself. We decided to mix things up a little by shooting some more natural images, including some traditional headshots, but Amanda also brought a stunning purple evening dress so we “glammed up” her makeup and closed the session out, making that the final shot of the day. No matter what she is wearing or where she is going Amanda is beautiful inside and out. She is a delightful person and we had a wonderful time getting to know her better.
